Howard gets GOOD Ofsted Report

Howard Junior School, in King’s Lynn, was originally told it was good by Ofsted in March 2013, a rating which inspectors confirmed it still deserves in a visit at the start of November.

The watchdog noted the school’s Harry Potter themed library and its Doctor Who corridor, which they said created a “stimulating learning environment” and encouraged pupils to be “inquisitive and curious learners”.

Inspectors said: “Pupils are very well-mannered, wear their uniform with great pride and speak very positively of the opportunities they are given in school to learn and make good progress.” They praised pupils’ good behaviour and manners during the visit.

“When I visited lessons to observe pupils learning, I was impressed by the host pupils who welcomed me with a handshake, explained what they were learning and invited me to ask them questions,” an inspector noted.
