Howard Junior School receives multiple Royal British Legion awards
Each year, Howard Junior School ensures it goes above and beyond to honour the sacrifices made by our country's soldiers. From creating a giant poppy on the school stage - with every single pupil contributing their own poppy, to visiting the cenotaph on Remembrance Day with a range of war costumes worn by the children, Howard always works hard to commemorate the fallen.
This year, the school cemented it's allegiance with the Royal British Legion at a meal held at King's Lynn Town Hall. Present at the meal were esteemed figures such as the Mayor, ex-servicemen and the local chairman of the Royal British Legion.
The school showcased the work it had been doing over the past few years to the audience present and then were awarded with two significant certificates from the Royal British Legion and presented by the Mayor.
The school will of course continue to ensure children become increasingly aware of their nation's history - particularly around remembrance day and will look to build on the foundations of the partnership formed with the Royal British Legion.
